You asked, we delivered: Introducing our new glossary of terms

In recent months, many Mobil SHC Club members have been asking for a glossary of terms, an easy, Wikipedia-style library of key industrial terms and definitions.

Fret no more – after several months of hard work, we’ve taken the 1993 ExxonMobil Encyclopedia for the User of Petroleum Products and updated it for 2019. This updated glossary is now available to you as a resource, available here: https://en.club.mobilindustrial.com/glossary-of-lubrication-terms/w/glossary-of-terms/10/defaultwikipage

Ever wondered what is the difference between rolling oil and ring oil? Or what about the difference between TAN and TBN?

These terms, and many more, are all found in our new glossary. Moving forward, we’ll also be linking key words in articles to the glossary definitions for easy reference.

We invite you to take a look and let us know what you think. Please note: for the first month, the glossary will be available only in English while we complete the translations into Spanish and Russian. We should have those translations completed by mid-March. If there are any terms you’d like us to add or if you’d like us to build on any of the existing definitions in the glossary, please let us know via the comments section below!
